Founder-led setup
Request help from the TrackDME team to import your first catalog, label units, and run a live scan loop.
Founder-led setup
Founder-led setup is for teams that want TrackDME live quickly but do not want to figure out the first catalog, labels, and scan workflow alone. You bring your spreadsheet, QuickBooks catalog, or website. The TrackDME team helps you get the first real units scanning.
Use this path when you want help choosing the first equipment category, labeling the first 25 to 50 units, connecting QuickBooks, or deciding whether Pro + Quoting or Growth fits your workflow.
Request setup
- Open Founder-led setup.
- Enter your name, email, company, and website if you have one.
- Add the equipment types you rent, such as beds, wheelchairs, concentrators, CPAP, or mobility equipment.
- Choose your approximate tracked unit count and timeline.
- Describe your current workflow, including spreadsheets, QuickBooks, paper logs, or billing software.
- Click Request founder-led setup.
The form sends your request to the TrackDME team. If a Slack alert is configured, the team gets notified too, but the request is saved either way.
What happens next
A TrackDME operator reviews the request and replies by email. The first call is practical, not a long demo. The goal is to pick one starting workflow and decide whether your first real units can go live this week.
Expect to cover:
- The equipment category you want to scan first.
- How many serialized units are in that first batch.
- Where customer and billing records live today.
- Whether returned equipment needs a cleaning or inspection gate.
- Who should join the setup session from your team.
What setup includes
Founder-led setup usually covers:
- Building or importing the first product catalog.
- Connecting QuickBooks when it is part of the workflow.
- Setting locations, unit statuses, and reprocessing rules.
- Helping label the first 25 to 50 units.
- Running one live check-out and check-in with your team.
The goal is not to configure every future possibility. It is to make the first scan loop real enough that your team can keep going.
Billing during setup
Some first-cohort customers may start with founder-managed billing instead of immediate Stripe checkout. If that applies, Billing shows a notice that your plan is managed by the TrackDME team, and your workspace keeps the selected plan limits while setup is active. See Billing and plans for plan details.
Try the workflow first
If you want to feel the scan loop before requesting help, open the public demo. It uses sample DME units so you can scan a unit out, scan it back in, mark it sanitized, and review the history without creating an account.
Next steps
After setup, use Quick start to keep adding products and units, The scan loop to train staff, and Connect QuickBooks if customer sync is part of your rollout.
