Track equipment by quantity

Choose quantity tracking

When adding equipment, choose Interchangeable items by quantity under How do you track it? Enter the starting Quantity ready to rent. On iPhone, open an existing quantity-tracked type and choose Add more equipment to add ready stock without creating a duplicate type.

Use this for items that can be exchanged without tracking individual serial numbers. Use individual units when the exact identity matters.

Reserve a quantity

Choose the equipment type and Quantity on a reservation. Availability is checked across the whole rental period.

Check out and receive

Record the actual quantity leaving at checkout. Receive only the quantity that returns, even when it is less than the rental total.

Returned quantities can be Ready, Cleaning, or Repair. Cleaning and Repair do not count as available stock.

Release cleaned or repaired stock

Open the equipment type, enter the quantity whose work is complete, and select Mark ready.
