Run the day from Today

Today

Today brings together the rental work that needs attention.

• Going out today includes reservations due to leave today and earlier reservations that have not been fulfilled.
• Coming back today shows checked-out equipment due today.
• Overdue returns shows equipment that is still out after its expected return.

Open a rental to record its next handoff. Use Check out when equipment leaves and Receive return when it comes back.

Book ahead

Create a reservation in Rentals for a future date. It holds availability immediately and appears in the appropriate daily schedule when it is due to leave.

The schedule does not optimize driver routes or record a delivery just because its date has arrived.

Keep the dates useful

Set a return date when one is known. No return date yet leaves the rental open-ended and holds its capacity until a date is set or the equipment returns.

If plans change, save the revised dates on the rental. An extension must fit around other reservations.

Business time zone

An admin can change Time zone in Company settings. Today follows that zone so staff share the same definition of the business day.
